Hi Erik,

Thank you for the demo, I really enjoyed playing it. Some feedback after my playthrough:

  • Could use a way to access the settings from within the game (change audio)
  • The energy from the garden regenerates whilst in the upgrade screen so you can just go afk and let it build up which is a bit cheaty!
  • Also in the garden, the flowers seemed much more cost effective than the grass, but I'm guessing that's intentional?
  • I think perhaps overall the upgrades came a little too easily. Progress is nice of course, but I filled out the upgrade tree fast which would lead to quite quick gameplay depending on how much content there is.

Hi Caroline,

great to hear that you enjoyed the demo and thank you so much for your feedback! Let me adress the points you mentioned:

  • You should be able to hit Esc while the game is running and adjust all settings from the ingame menu.
  • The garden energy is the idle part of the gameplay. Ideally, you'll never need to actually wait and I want to balance the game so you can't get a ton of stuff when just stepping away for 5 minutes or so (that's why the flowers are much more powerful). It's a fine line to walk for sure and I hope to get this part of the game to feeling just right.
  • There is quite a lot more content to come :) Personally, I don't like grinding and I want to have as little grind as possible in my game. Instead, there will always be something new and yes, that means new things come in quickly. Aiming for a total playtime of 3h for the full version and I want to provide a smooth flow through the entire experience with interesting mechanics and things around every corner.

Cheers, Erik

True, grinding can be... well, a grind lol! A short game with quick unlocks will be a nice flow of dopamine :-)
